When to Choose Tubular

Tubular is the right answer when…

Pick tubular for carports, cold storage, and sheds, where the footprint is small, insulation isn't important and the budget is tight. Roughly four-week delivery, no concrete required in most configurations, and horizontal or vertical sheeting options. Limited wind and snow ratings make it a poor fit for high-elevation mountain sites. We'll tell you up front if your location rules it out.

How It's Built

Galvanized tube-steel members slip in and screw together. No welding or torch work on site. Small crew, fast install, minimal equipment, low cost. However the trade-offs are real: limited clear span, eave height, thinner sheeting, and fewer design and insulation options than heavier frames. This is not meant for every building, but can be perfect for small, simple projects with low engineering loads.
